Dad’s Violin

Soft pastels and pastel pencils. My father was a child prodigy violinist. As a young man he studied at the Bent Conservatory in New York. His sister Vera played the piano and they often entertained the family. I am so fortunate to still have my Dad’s childhood violin. It is kept upon Aunt Vera’s piano that is covered with an antique silk paisley throw and the violin sits on top of some very old tattered sheet music.
