Traveling has always inspired me. My work starts with photos , onto sketching and then into the prep of the background with an underpainting onto a sanded paper. As I work forward I build with hard pastels in complimentary colors up to the softest pastels to complete the painting. I love the process as it "takes me away" yet brings me into the moment of where I was so inspired !
