"Hot Garlic" is the one of my still life Aromatics & Seasonings paintings, inspired by my love of experimenting with these fabulous flavors. This small collection is a bit tongue in cheek, with it's titles reflecting the characteristics I often hear used to describe the attributes of these foods, and possibly, of the people who eat them.
Painted in pastel on sanded paper with a mauve alcohol wash underpainting.
