This pastel painting was inspired by the worship song "The Lion and the Lamb" by Brenton Brown. I found several reference photos of various lions and lambs and composed this final image and then painted it. The final painting represents Jesus as being depicted as both the Lion of Judah and the sacrificial Lamb of God as found in the Bible. I loved painting every bit of this in my favorite medium of pastels on velour board.
