Turning out horses after a long day on the trail in the Wind River Range, Wyoming. This is a studio pastel that was inspired by a photo that on took on a week long backpacking trip.
The golden billowing dust kicked up by the horses being let out to graze was a beautiful complement to the blue of the distant range.
